Shopping is one of my favorite things to do, and quite frankly I do it more than I should. After hearing a lot about the company Romwe, I decided to give it a try. From the minute I clicked on the website and I saw the red flashing alert telling me there was “60% OFF EVERYTHING”, I knew this was not going to be good for my bank account. It seemed almost too good to be true, $50 sweaters for $10.99??? Is this heaven? A few hours later, I finalized my order with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Less than a week later my package arrived and I raced up to my room to see if I made the biggest mistake of my life or the best shopping discovery ever. When I opened up the bag, a chemical scent filled the air, not a good first sign. So, I tried everything on, because you can always just wash the clothes to make them smell better right? Here’s how it went:
- Raw Cut Dip Hem Sweater
I wore this sweater to work and class this week. I had to basically use my whole bottle of perfume to get the chemical smell away (no, I didn’t wash it… yes, I kind of regretted it). It was very itchy, and I was a little scared of breaking out in a rash. However, I definitely don’t regret buying this. Also, it’s only $14.99 so who’s the real winner here?
2. Cactus Print Marled Tee
I loved the print of this shirt and thought it was so cute, however I didn’t expect it to be so cropped (the site rarely has pictures of models wearing the clothing). I bought the shirt in a medium, as that is normally what I wear. The shirt’s a little tight, and as you can see my arms are a bit too long for it. I would probably give it a 5/10, but I like it a lot more in the next outfit.
3. Grey Plaid Drop Shoulder Pocket Shirt
I had been looking for a good, oversized, cute flannel E-VE-RY-WHERE! So when I saw this one for $8.99- no you didn’t misread that it was literally $9- I had to get it. Let me say that this was a huge success. When I saw it was only one-size, I was a little nervous, but it’s the perfect amount of oversize (and it makes the cactus shirt look a thousand times better- am I right???). The only negative comment I have is that I was expecting it to be a flannel material, but it was more of a linen, which is honestly not even that negative of a comment. So basically, this was a success.
4. High Neck Open Shoulder Sweater
This sweater I was nervous about, I mean it’s literally a sweater with the shoulders cut out, but it’s by far my favorite! It’s soft, comfy and so cute! I was hoping it would be more of a pink based color instead of the tan that it is, but after putting it on and styling it I liked it! The fact that I got such a great sweater for only $16 makes me so excited for winter (and less guilty when I spend money on my late night McDonald’s runs-kidding Mom!).
5. Golden Deathly Hallows Rotary Pendant Necklace
Okay, not going to lie, this was what I was most excited about. You all will soon learn that I am a ride or die Harry Potter fan. It’s been part of my life since I was a little girl, and it will always be a part of my life. So, when I saw this necklace I almost dropped my phone because of how excited I was. When I received it in the mail, I was disappointed. I expected a small, cute, dainty chain necklace that I could wear everyday. However, what I got made me feel like a wizard-turned-Flavor Flav (hence my swagger pose). But seriously, it’s 99 cents so what could I expect???
Overall I was impressed with my purchases from Romwe, and may be purchasing more in the future. My recommendations would be to order a size larger than what you typically wear, clean them before wearing and DON’T ORDER THEIR JEWELRY. But, I did get this free ring phone holder so I’m still winning.
Also, quick shout out to my friend Jordan for being my personal photographer! Enjoy these pictures of berries she took while I was changing (she was very excited about the portrait mode):
And that’s what’s going on in Lindley’s Life.
