Same Sneakers, Two Ways

Here’s the thing: I loooove shoes and shopping for them, but actually rarely ever do. Sometimes I love so many different kinds I never know which one to choose, while other times the price seems like an investment I don’t want to make. However, usually I end up splurging on shoes at places like Amazon, Target, and Nordstrom (if there’s a sale). Other great places to find shoes for less are, or DSW, as they carry hundreds of brands and usually have great sales.

One thing I was determined to find before summer was a great sneaker. And I’m not talking any sneaker, I mean one that can be worn with a light summer dress one day and denim shorts and a tee the next. I searched and searched for a sneaker that was white and had hints of femininity… until I found them: Superga’s Acot Platform sneaker.

Having been basically living in sweatpants the past few months, any opportunity I have to dress up I take. However, I still want to be comfy, and this is the perfect ‘fit for that. I threw on an Abercrombie & Fitch satin shift dress with an oversized denim jacket to dress it down a bit and add some flare. I finished it off with colorful circled sunnies, small hoop earrings, and my Superga platforms!

You can find me in a basic tee and denim almost every day! And what goes better with those than a simple, white sneaker? I threw this look together with the Aerie Boyfriend Tee and denim jeans with a unique feature. This look is perfect for running errands, grabbing lunch, or everything in between.

I got the Superga’s in my true size of 8.5, and they fit perfectly! At first it felt a bit strange to walk with the strong platform bottoms because they aren’t very bendy, but after a few days wear they fit just like normal.

The only recommendation I have is to make sure you wear a thick sock (I do no-show) with them, or else they will rub on your feet and blister if worn for hours!

… and that’s what’s going on in Lindley’s Life.
