Bon Voyage: My cruise experience!

Recently I got the amazing opportunity to board the Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas for 8 days in celebration of my 21st birthday. I was so excited (not only for the all-inclusive drink package) but also to get a little tan, and to travel outside of the country- two firsts for me! 🙂

During the cruise we had the opportunity to visit Philipsburg, St. Maarten, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Labadee, Haiti. It was such a beautiful experience and I am so fortunate to have gotten to go on it! Seeing the culture of the different countries, as well as getting to relax on the beach or ship, was amazing.

If you are planning to go on a cruise, I have outlined a list of some of the things I highly recommend you bring! First, I would recommend a straw hat and headbands, because your freshly-done hair never stays that way by dinnertime!

If you opt for a ponytail (no judgment, I did it a few times) I would bring a cute hair scarf or bandana to class it up a bit.

When you dock to explore the different countries, you do a lot of walking. I would recommend bringing a cute and comfortable sandal in case you decide to go to the beach!

During the cruise, I wore a lot of basics- basic tees, sundresses, jumpers, etc. So bringing a few pairs of fun statement earrings really helped boost my outfits!

It gets really hot (or at least it did for us) so I tried to opt for light but still cute items. Bringing a camisole that looks better than a plain Jane undershirt is really nice!

Comfy is (and I cannot stress this enough) key. So bringing a cute and light pair of joggers that can be styled up are perfect for walking around!

Hope ya’ll enjoyed reading this post and it inspired you to 1. book your own cruise and 2. know exactly what to pack. Happy cruising everyone!

…and that’s what’s going on in Lindley’s Life!
